Dog Friends up for Adoption

Polar Pug Rescue (we are now 'Polar Pug Rescue & Friends') works closely with our local municipal shelter and Alaska bush communities to help other small-breed dogs who need homes (as space allows).

If you are interested in adopting or fostering a pug or other dog, please contact us.

Foster homes are always needed! If you cannot adopt at this time, please consider foster care. Our pugs & friends need to be in home situations before they go to their forever homes.

We have a plethora of dogs at the moment! Please help with their care and surgeries by becoming a sponsor.

Once you sponsor a dog, we'll put your name beside their description. This not only helps a dog in need, it can lead to more people sponsoring and helping our dogs!

Effective 09/01/2010, the adoption fees are as follows:

Dogs up to 1 year of age- $300.00
Dogs from1 year to 5 years- $250.00
Dogs from 6 years to 9 years- $200.00
Dogs over 10 years old- $150.00
Special-needs dogs are evaluated on a one-to-one basis

Our sweet girls, Barbie and Koko

Barbie and Koko are a pair of adorable Brussels Griffon mixes. We think the other part might be Lhaso Apso, but, because they are so tiny, maybe Chihuahua! Your guess is as good as ours!

They are bonded, so we want them to be adopted out together. They are very nervous around children, so a home without small ones would be preferable.

UPDATE: The girls are ready for their permanent home!
