Polar Pug Rescue & Friends is made up entirely of volunteers. We have no paid members. All funds collected are used for the needs of all our rescues. Most often our expenses are vet checks, spays and neuters, vaccinations and micro-chips. We also may incur expenses for items such as food, collars, leashes and miscellaneous clerical items. Medical needs of the rescues is the largest expenditure we face on a daily basis.
It takes many types of volunteers to maintain our mission and be available for those pups that need help finding their forever homes. All of our volunteers also have families of their own and jobs so the precious moments the organization gets from each volunteer are the moments that make an amazing difference in a dogs life.
In addition to the board members we have several devoted foster homes providing security, training and love to our rescues while they are waiting for a family of their own. Foster homes are very valuable to us and are often in short supply. Please visit our foster home page for more information on how to become that special transition to a pup awaiting it's forever family.
