A veteran of many pug parties over the years, Rocky, and his three 'brothers', came into Polar Pug Rescue (PPRaF) in 2009 when his owner passed away. The three brothers were all PPRaF alumni, and we were able to find them new homes.
Maryjo's words:
Overwhelmed by what life had thrown her way, the Rocky's owner's wife asked if I would take in Rocky. I've known this pug for years, and I've always loved his grumpy ways. Since he was never a rescue in the first place, she wanted him to go to someone he knew.
I fostered him for a long time, but everyone knew he wouldn't be going anywhere so I officially adopted him about 9 months after he arrived into my home.
I adore all senior pugs, and the grumpier the better!
Rocky recently got his teeth cleaned, and had a broken molar (Along with several other teeth) pulled. He seems much happier, but is still the lovable curmudgeon I adopted. He's now on thyroid meds, and that has helped his energy level.
He gets along with his sister and brothers, and (although he doesn't cuddle) can often be found sleeping next them.
His favorite activity is sleeping, but since he is over 12 years old (he'll be 13 in November), so I don't blame him!
