COVID-19 has slowed down the number of dogs coming into rescues everywhere. This is a good thing! We are still here to help when there is a dog in need.
Polar Pug Rescue and Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers within Alaska. We have no paid members. All funds received go directly to the needs of the dogs in our care. We are here to help rescue pugs, and other small dogs, find their ‘forever homes’.
Dogs surrendered to Polar Pug Rescue and Friends are placed in foster homes with dedicated volunteers for evaluation, social needs and vet visits.
For each and every dog, the care we provide includes:
- Getting them up-to-date on vaccinations
- Spaying/neutering them (if needed).
- Micro-chips inserted.
- Solving their social and health issues on a one-to-one basis.
We try to match the perfect home to every dog. No pug will be turned away. We will take any and all pugs regardless of age, health or temperament.
Donations are always welcome and needed. Please check out our Donation Page to learn how.
